Edicson Ruiz - doublebass

Born in Caracas and trained at "El Sistema", Edicson became the youngest member of the Berliner Philharmonic. He is also an active soloist, performing all over the world the standard repertoire for solo double bass as well as works written specially for him.    

Pacho Flores - trumpet

Pacho was solo trumpet of the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, post he abandoned to pursue his solo career. Based in Valencia, Spain, Pacho tours around Europe, Asia and Latin-America playing a very original repertoire conceived for his many instruments ( trumpets, cornets and horns)

Sergio Sánchez - oboe

A former member of the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, Sergio trained at "El Sistema" and studied in Lübeck, Germany, where he works in Orchestras and has busy career as soloists and chamber music player. He is often invited to play and record with the Bolivar Soloists.  

Sara Johnson - Cembalo

Sara studied at the Conservatoire of Aragón and at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen. She is member of the Baroque Orchestra of the European Union and had played among others with the Simón Bolívar Baroque Orchestra from Venezuela and Les Enchantants, and she is co-founder of the ensemble  Barrock’n’Roll. 

Efraín Oscher - flute

Efrain was born in Uruguay and was raised in Venezuela where he trained at "El Sistema". He studied flute with William Bennet at the Royal Academy of Music. In London he founded the Bolivar Soloists, a chamber music specialized in the music from Latin American composers.

Alejandro Carrillo - violin

Alejandro was born is Venezuela, began his musical education at "El Sistema" and continued his studies at the University of Music in Rostock. He plays regularly with orchestras in Germany and appears as soloist and chamber music player. Alejandro is a member of the Bolivar Soloists.

Cruz Marín - cuatro

Cruz  was born in Venezuela and studied in Germany. He developed a very own style of playing the Cuatro and has composed many pieces. He has performed with artists such as Cristóbal Soto, Ricardo Sandoval, Marco Granados, Aquiles Báez and ensembles such as the „Bolívar Soloists“ and "El Cruzao".

Eduardo Calzada - basoon

Eduardo was born in Venezuela and thanks to a scholarship from the DAAD studied with Klaus Thunemann in Berlin. He made his postgraduate studies with Gustavo Nuñez in Düsseldorf and then obtained a scholarship to study with Stefan Schweigert at the Karajan Akademie . Since 2004 is member of the Radio Sinfonie Orchester  Stuttgart.

Kammerensemble Konsonanz

Kammerensemble Konsonanz are string players from different cultural backgrounds, who explore the many sound worlds of all musical periods together. They have toured Germany and recorded two CDs. Collaborations with great soloists include Matias de Oliveira and Alexander Baillie.
